Straight in at Number 5!
The new 'Off the Woodwork' EP has gone straight in to number five on the iTunes' Comedy chart!
Chris’ debut E.P. has created quite a stir on iTunes, going in straight to number 5 on the iTunes comedy chart, despite no proper advertising or promotion. Sitting pretty above Eddie Izzard and Billy Connolly, Chris was bemused and delighted this morning when we told him of the news.
“Really? That’s incredible!” he beamed. “I honestly had no idea how it would do. I know a few trailers went out on YouTube but I never expected this. I suppose I just want to say thanks to everyone for buying it! We did something a little different with it and put purely original songs on there, giving people the opportunity to hear our own stuff which was a bit of a risk. You can still download three of the big YouTube songs for free on the new website, but it was important, from my point of view, to show people that whilst we love our footy, we can sing about other things too… like… pre-menstrual tension.... and who doesn’t love a good ditty about pre-menstrual tension?”
So thank you all for buying the E.P. Let’s see if we can’t make it number one by the end of the week!
